Concurrent/Dual Credit Enrollment Program
Students who have completed their sophomore year of high school in a
private, public or a non- traditional setting (i.e. home schooled) and
are fifteen (15) years of age MAY BE eligible for enrollment. Each
of the following items MUST be completed prior to admission:

Complete an application for admission and concurrent/
dual credit enrollment agreement.

Proof of residency/ citizenship

Must provide appropriate scores on TSI or approved
alternative test (TSI exemption may be proved with appropriate scores
on SAT, ACT, OR TAAS.)
SAT I Verbal R500, SAT I Math R500 (if taken after April
1995) with a composite score not lower than 1070 (cannot use
scores older than 5 years OR
ACT Verbal 19, Math 19 with a composite score not lower than
23 (cannot use scores older than 5 years) OR
TAAS Writing=17770, Reading= TLI-89, Math= TLI-86 (cannot
use scores older than 3 years) OR
EASTFIELD ALTERNATIVE TEST - ACCUPLACER (Public High school
students must pass all sections of the exit- level TAAS test before
they can attempt any version of the official TSI test or an alternative):
A score of 78 on Reading, 63 on Elementary Algebra test PLUS appropriate
scores on Sentences Skills and Written Essay...( Alternative tests
are to be used for initial testing only, the TSI Test must be used
for all retakes and scores older than two years cannot be used.)
To enroll in courses of an associate degree or level two certificate
(TSI-eligible) program, the high school student must present a passing
score on TSI or the approved alternative-assessment in at least one
area (reading,writing, or math) as deemed applicable by the college
for the intended course in which the student wishes to enroll.

Submit an official transcript of academic record
from the last or current high school attended.
If home schooled, a notarized record of ALL school subjects
completed (consistent with the Texas Education Agency minimum requirements.)

Schedule an appointment with the Sharron Wagoner,
Dual Credit Coordinator(972-860-7024). All paperwork should be completed
prior to this appointment and brought to this appointment. Courseload
is not to exceed "two college credit courses or six(6) hours"
per semester. Students must meet all prerequisites for college-level
courses as stated in Eastfield's catalog .The student will be given
a referral form for testing if applicable.

soon as all paperwork is submitted and testing (if applicable) is
