Doug Richardson
Credentials
Doug Richardson, Chairman of the Management Program, is the contact person and advisor for all management and business administration majors. He has taught management and business at Eastfield for 33 years. Recently with the evolution of courses being offered over the internet, now all management courses are available "online" and Doug has been teaching online for 10 years. He has been a leader in bringing about the availability of management instruction over the web and all the degrees and certificates can now be attained via internet instruction. Doug has owned and managed a retail business for several years. Also, has extensive experience at Lockheed Martin and General Motors as an industrial engineer and manager. Doug has managed several organizations including Arlington Runners Club, Property Owners Association. and Texas Management Educators Association. Eastfield has a collaborative agreement with West London College, where students in Organizational Behavior are assigned to teams comprised of students from each institution to work on projects of international implications. This collaboration has been beneficial in developing international, cultural and ethnic understanding in both countries. Married to wife Karen for 41 years, she recently retired from teaching business and management at Tarrant County College (for 31 years). He has three adult children and seven grandchildren. |
