Infrastructure Construction

Along with the construction of three new buildings and one building being expanded to almost double its size, there are also infrastructure construction projects going on at the same time. There have been challenges to face with the closing of parking lots and interior campus road ways, but in the end we will have a new infrastructure system that will serve the college long into the future.

A new sanitary sewer line is being laid all across the length of the campus from North to South through the east parking lots. A new detention pond to trap and slow down storm water run-off has been constructed on the Northeast corner of the campus near the Oates Drive and Motely intersection.

The accompanying pictures show you some of the work in progress with the trenching for the sanitary sewer line and the almost completed detention pond. Soon we will have pictures of the trenching for the new water line that will connect the water loop around the campus and provide adequate water pressure for emergency personnel to address any safety situation should it arise (fire on the campus).
