(Mesquite, TX) – Join an expanding campus and faculty serving 10,000 students per semester! Become an Adjunct Instructor at Eastfield College by attending the Adjunct Recruitment Fair November 20 from 5 – 7:30 p.m. in the S Building, Room 100. Deans and/or division representatives will be available to meet with prospective instructors. Participants are encouraged to bring copies of resumes and college transcripts to the fair.
Adjunct Faculty members are able to participate in free professional development classes, software training (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc), webinar and Starlink access, e-campus training to develop online courses, use of gym/pool facilities, and much more!
Pay Rate: $1,969.44 per three-credit-hour course; $2,625.92 per four-credit-hour course; $3,938.88 per six-credit hour course
The college is recruiting instructors for various part-time positions. A critical need exists for instructors who can teach the following credit (transferable) and developmental (non-transferable) courses:
Mathematics, English, Speech, Spanish, Biology, Chemistry, Geology, Physics, Medical Terminology, *Teacher Preparation, *Child Development, **ESOL, ***Developmental Writing, ***Developmental Reading, ***Developmental Math, ****Air Conditioning & Refrigeration and **** Automotive Technology.
Requirements: Applicants must have a masters degree in the teaching discipline or a masters degree plus a minimum of 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline.
*Child Development/Teacher Prep applicants must have a masters degree in education for EDUC courses or a masters in early childhood education or in child development for TECA-CDEC courses, plus a minimum of 3 years experience working with children under age 8.
**ESOL applicants must have a bachelors degree in English or education (bilingual /ESL emphasis), with graduate courses in ESOL instruction or linguistics or TESOL certification.
***Applicants for Developmental Writing must have a bachelor’s degree in English, Composition, or related field with secondary /college teaching experience. Applicants for Developmental Reading must have a bachelor’s degree with 18 graduate hours in Reading and one year college/university teaching experience. Applicants for Developmental Math must have a bachelor’s degree with 18 graduate hours in Math and either secondary teaching experience or have completed six graduate hours in remedial education. Master’s Degree and graduate hours completed in remedial education are preferred for all three positions.
****Technical applicants must have an Associate degree in the teaching discipline and three years of related work experience.
