Dr. Susan Wyatt Recognized as Piper Professor(Mesquite, TX) – Eastfield College is proud to announce that Dr. Susan Skinner Wyatt, Eastfield Child Development Teacher Prep faculty member has been recognized as a 2009 Piper Professor.
The Minnie Stevens Piper Foundation annually recognizes outstanding educators nominated throughout the State of Texas. Dr. Wyatt also received Eastfield's 2009 Excellence in Teaching-Miles Production Award in recognition for her many years of teaching in the Child Development Program. She is also involved in many local, state and national child development organizations. Interim President Dr. Jean Conway acknowledged the award in a pubic reception on April 30. Wyatt joins two other Eastfield faculty who have been selected for this prestigious award in the past, retired English Faculty and former Vice President of Instruction, Dr. Diane Martin and Math Faculty, Dr. Vivian Dennis-Monzingo. Wyatt was presented with a certificate, pin, and an honorarium and will be recognized at the annual commencement exercise on May 14.
