WEESL: Communications Improvement I - COMG 1000 $95.00
Prerequisites: A certificate from Literacy Workplace Skills
This is the beginning course in English as a Second Language for non-native speakers. Emphasis will be on developing students’ basic speaking skills to create a working vocabulary of up to 600 words. Simple grammatical structures and writing skills are introduced. Basic reading, writing and math skills required for entry into the workplace are also introduced. Presentation of industry related basic reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills. Textbook: World Link I (Heinle).
