Prerequisites: Ability to work with the Windows Operating System.
Word processing program that allows students to efficiently create and revise professional documents such as letters, reports, memoranda, and resumes. Topics will include saving and retrieving documents, formatting basic business documents, changing fonts, printing, and block functions.  The use of spell checker and the thesaurus will also be covered.

A basic introduction to the camera operation. Students will learn file formats for digital images, proper techniques while using digital cameras and current software for manipulating digital images. Students may bring their own digital camera.

Basic Computerized Genealogy - SRCZ 1000      $50.00
Prerequisites: Basic Computer skills in Windows environment are required.
Basics of doing genealogical researach with emphasis on the use of a personal computer for record keeping and the internet to augment standard research techniques. Topic to be included are: where to look for information, genealogical proof, building a reference library, designing a search plan, lineage societies, protecting yourself from fraudulent genealogy offers, and record keeping - both on paper and the computer using Ancestral Quest software.

EM: Belly Dancing - DANZ 1000          $50.00
Prerequisites: 55 or better
Learn elegant Middle Eastern Belly Dancing movements that use all the muscles of the body and provide stress relief. Topics  include historical aspects, hand, body posture, hip placements (lifts, locks, circles), moving steps, grapevine step, hip rolls, shoulder shimmies, push step, turns, connecting steps, sameha, body wave, piston hips. Leotards, tights or exercise attire. Classes are held off campus at Tatika’s Treasures, 2414 E. Hwy 80, Suite 303, Mesquite. Call  972-288-0042 for details.
