This beginning course introduces students to the Spanish language. Emphasis is on oral production and learning about the Hispanic/Latino culture. Topics include: vocabulary word building, gender, time, numbers, basic math, present tense, AR and ER verbs, family, descriptions, adjectives and reading and building simple sentences. Prerequisites: Spanish I or demonstrated competency.
A course for the student who has had some previous instruction in Spanish. Emphasis is placed on oral conversation at the intermediate level. Areas covered are: Hispanic/Latino culture, irregular present tense verbs; IR, SER, ESTAR, SALIR, TENER, HACER, GUSTAR, more numbers, progressions, days, months, weather, seasons, possessive adjectives, and higher level grammar.
