Piano Festival

Beginner/Elementary Piano Camp - CHLZ 1000 $75.00
Prerequisites: Ages 7-18 with minimum 6 months piano lessons.
Register early to reserve one of only 12 openings. This 5-day piano camp is taught by Carolyn Sheets, Eastfield Continuing Education piano instructor and director/sponsor of classical, jazz and Baroque piano festivals in Dallas. Here’s an opportunity for non-piano students to join the beginner and elementary students in a fun-filled environment to learn piano fundamentals of sight reading, music theory, and performance. Students will work in a group of 12 or fewer students. Also included with this registration is entrance to all of the Piano Festival afternoon master classes, Saturday children’s recital at 11am, and Saturday professional concert performance by Rick Andrews at 2pm. Parent, please attend the first 15 minutes of the first class. Children will be supervised at all times, and extended care can be arranged as needed after the class to accommodate working parents.

Intermediate Piano Workshop - MUAZ 1000      $124.00
Prerequisites: Intermediate piano level; all ages; audition required, call 972-860-7136

Eastfield College professor Pierrette Mouledous, professional artist Rick Andrews, and other faculty will lead this 4-day intermediate small group class on sight reading and playing techniques, ear training, and different styles of music, i.e., classical, jazz, and liturgical. Each day will also include observation of master class demonstration. Presence at the weekday afternoon and Saturday performances is included and expected. Students have the option of performing in recital on Saturday at 11am. Renowned concert pianist Rick Andrews will perform on Saturday afternoon at 2pm in Performance Hall F210. Do NOT register before audition. Registration form will be provided at audition. For audition appointment, please call 972-860-7136.

Advanced Piano Workshop - MUAZ 1000          $124.00
Prerequisites: Advanced level piano; all ages; audition required, call 972-860-7136 for apt.
