  1. I'm supposed to get a senior citizen's discount but it's not showing on the summary. Where do I need to go to get that processed?

I'm supposed to get a senior citizen's discount but it's not showing on summary. Where do I need to go to get that processed?

If the student is at least 65 years of age, they should go to the Admissions Office and provide proper documentation so that they can be coded as a "senior citizen."

Where is Lost and Found?

Campus Police located in the 'N' Building, N 112.

Where is the Bookstore? (Where can I buy my books?)

Follett Bookstore is located on the first floor of the 'N' building.

Can I get a check cashed in the Business Office?

The Business Office keeps limited funds on hand, so we are not able to cash checks.

I dropped all my classes. Why do I have to pay plan, I shouldn't owe anything!

Once the installment plan promissory note is signed, you are obligated to pay for all of the tuition, even if the classes are dropped. If there is a refund, it will be applied to what is owed.

I am In-District but I am being charged Out-of-District rates, How can I get that changed?

Only the Admissions Office can make residence code changes. Students should provide proof of residence to that office.

I have a refund for last semester. Can I apply that to another semester? What do I need to do?

Refunds can be transferred from one semester to another. The student must notify the Business Office if they want this done.

I lost money in one of the vending machines. Where can I get a refund?

The Business Office reimburses money lost in the vending machines. Persons losing money should come to the Cashier's Window and fill out a voucher to get refunded.

Do I need to purchase a parking sticker?

At this time, Eastfield College does not require the purchase of a parking permit.

I don't have the money to pay for my classes and it is due today. Can I have an extension?

Students that register early are given ample time to plan for payment of tuition. Paid tuition ensures that classes will be held as scheduled. Therefore, we do not issue extensions.

I have financial aid. What happens if it hasn't been processed by the time my payment is due? If I pay for my tuition myself, will I get reimbursed when my financial aid gets approved?

Students who have financial aid pending should not be de-registered. However, if a student wants to pay by the due date, they can do so. Once their Financial Aid is approved, they will get a refund mailed to them in accordance with the refund policy.

Where can I get a paid receipt for a previous semester?

The student should go the Registration Center, C127, and print the fee receipts, If the student is unable to do so, the office can print it for them.

Can I set up a pay plan for the Summer Semesters?

Tuition Installment Pay Plans are not available for the Maymester, Summer I, Summer II and Wintermester sessions.

I dropped all my classes. When will I get my refund?

Refund checks are processed after the first day of classes. Please allow 30 days for refund processing.

How will I be refunded?

Tuition paid by cash or check will be refunded by check. Tuition paid by credit cards will be credited back to the credit card account.

I can't come in to pay. Is there some way I can pay by phone?

Payments made by credit card can be called in to the Cashier's line, 972-860-7093. Students may also pay on-line using the eConnect system.

Where can I get a Bus Pass?

As of July 2001, the Business Office will no longer sell bus passes.

Do I need to come in to set up a pay plan or can I do it over the phone?

Since the installment plan requires the student to sign a promissory not, the student must be here in person to sign.

Can I make my pay plan payments through the web (eConnect)?

Installment payments cannot be made using the eConnect system. Payments can be mailed, paid in person or by calling in with a credit card.

What date do I need to drop a class by in order to get a 100% refund? what about fast track or flex classes?

Classes should always be dropped before the first class day to get a full refund. The refund policy can be found in the front of the class schedule. Refund information on the fast track and flex classes is also included in this schedule.

Will my book check be mailed or do I need to pick it up? What if I've changed my address and it gets mailed to the wrong address?

Book checks are mailed directly to the student. If a student does not change their address in the Admissions Office and the check gets mailed to the wrong address, the check will be returned to the Business Office usually after 20 days.

Can I get change back if my check for tuition is written for more than the amount due?

Checks should be written for the exact amount. If a student has a check written by a parent for over the amount, we will request a refund check to be issued to the student for the overage.

Can I pay tuition for someone else, and what happens if there is a refund?

You can pay for another student as long as you have the student's ID number. If there is a refund, it will be sent to the student where the payment was applied.

Can I make a partial payment if I'm not able to pay the entire balance for my tuition?

Partial payments can be made. However, if the balance is not paid by the due date, the class will be dropped.

What happens if I don't pay my loan or if I don't pay on time?

Loans will be assessed a $10.00 late fee and a block will be placed on the student's records. Pay Plans will assessed a $10.00 late fee per payment and a block placed on the student's records. Blocks will not be removed until the balance is paid in full.

My bank notified me of a returned check. What do I need to do to take care of it?

The student must be notified by letter from the college before making the payment. Payments should be made by a cash or money order within the time limits prescribed by the notification letter.

If my returned check has been turned over to the JP and I have been dropped from my classes, what do I need to do?

You need to make payment by cash or a money order to the Business Office. Take your receipt from that payment to the Admissions office and ask to be reinstated in your classes. The receipt will also need to be taken to the Justice of the Peace to ensure our record with them is cleared.

I don't agree with the amount of the refund I am getting. Who can I talk with about getting the amount adjusted?

Students can petition through the Admissions Office to get a full refund due to a hardship or extenuating circumstances. The petition form is available in the Admission Office and should also be turned in to that office. Student will be notified by mail of the decision. If the amount of the refund is incorrect due to a computer error, the student should come to the Business Office to let us research their account.

I have a scholarship. Will my tuition be paid automatically?

Scholarships are processed through the Financial Aid Office. Once the scholarship is input, tuition should be paid automatically. If a student has a question they should go to the Financial Aid Office.

My company is paying for my tuition. What do I need to do?

If we have received a letter of authorization to bill we will sponsor the student. Since we deal with many companies the student should check with the Business Office as to requirements.

I'm trying to register/drop and I have a block that is preventing me from doing anything. Where can I find out why I'm blocked?

The Business Office can check on a block and refer the student to the proper office.

I have a refund coming that should have shown up on my credit card but nothing has been credited. When will it be done?

A credit card refund appears within a month. If the credit has not appeared within that time, the student should check with the Business Office so we can research the student's account.
