Academics

With the creation of Rising Star in 1999, EFC had the highest semester to semester retention rate of 79%. To date, retention has been increased to 89% due in part to the specialized advisement that Rising Star students get along with special programs and activities to meet their needs.

With this specialized attention and the master student course that is required of all RISING STAR STUDENTS, they have excelled in academics by maintaining an overall "B" average for most students and have been involved in Phi Theta Kappa ( National Honor Society), and student leadership programs such as the student commissioners. Several on campus leadership positions have even been filled by upcoming RISING STARS STUDENTS.
