High School

College

  • Teachers and parents remind the student of responsibilities
  • Teachers may initiate contact with student
  • Teachers may give notes if you missed class, or provide student with assignments and an extended due date
  • Student may study 2 to 8 hours a week
  • School prepares & provides documentation of disability
  • School proves eligibility
  • Content of the program is altered to fit the student
  • Parents, Teachers, Counselors, and Special Education professionals track the student and their services each year
  • Students manage their own time and coursework
  • Students will need to initiate contact with instructors
  • Instructors expect the student to be prepared for class; even when the student has missed class
  • Student should study an average of 2 to 3 hours outside of class for every hour in class
  • Documentation is required and must be provided by the student
  • Student proves eligibility
  • Course content is not altered, method of learning may be altered
  • Students must identify themselves every semester if services are desired
