International Teachers Partnership

On June, 20, 2008, Eastfield administrators, faculty members, and staff members from the Continuing Education/Workforce Division greeted seventy-five DISD international interns to the college. The interns, recruited internationally by DISD officials as part of their Alternative Certification Program, are taking courses in the weekend college program and as part of the ESL Teaching Academy. Mr. Patrick Pulliam, Instructional Specialist for DISD Alternative Certification and Maria Caratini Prado, Program Director for ESL Programs at Eastfield College are in charge of the partnership, which is in its second year. The internatonal interns will be at Eastfield through early August 2008.
