Prerequisites: Ability to work with the Windows Operating System.
Word processing program that allows students to efficiently create and revise professional documents such as letters, reports, memoranda, and resumes. Topics will include saving and retrieving documents, formatting basic business documents, changing fonts, printing, and block functions. The use of spell checker and the thesaurus will also be covered.

EM: Mini-Art Quilts - ARTZ 1000          $60.00
Participants will create landscapes, portraits, or designs, using the unique method of quilt piecing. Capture your memories of family, events, travel, and nature in pictorial “fabric-painted” masterpieces. Explore simple techniques of embellishments applying appliques, script, beads and fused fabric. Framing and finshing ideas will be discussed relating to the finished class project. Some BASIC sewing helpful, but not required. Some items will be provided by instructor. Basic supply list provided first day of class.

EM: Oil/Acrylic Landscape Painting - ARTZ 1000            $70.00
This class involves an impressionist approach to painting landscapes in oil or acrylic. There will be demonstrations using brushes, mediums, gels and palette knives followed by individual painting with instructor assistance. Discussion of composition, perspective, color theory and tools will be covered in a relaxed studio approach. A basic materials list will be provided at the first class.

Learn elegant Middle Eastern Belly Dancing movements that use all the muscles of the body and provide stress relief. Topics include historical aspects, hand, body posture, hip placements (lifts, locks, circles), moving steps, grapevine step, hip rolls, shoulder shimmies, push step, turns, connecting steps, sameha, body wave, piston hips.
