Eastfield offers a comprehensive guitar studies program for both adults and children. Our classes are designed for the beginner, with classes no larger than 8 students. We also offer private and semi–private lessons. The classes are offered in the spring, summer, and fall with a recital at the end of each semester.
The guitar class begins with basic guitar techniques playing simple melodies and harmonies together. This holistic approach develops hearing melodies in our minds, and with trained fingers enables us to play the songs on the guitar.
Eastfield College also hosts an Annual Classical Guitar Competition and Festival featuring local and international artists. Registration is required for participating in the competition. For questions and information E-mail jschreffler@dcccd.edu
