Study
of the relationship between Hispanic Americans, History of Hispanic Americans
and cultural backgrounds, Myths and Stereotypes about Hispanic Americans, Illegal
aliens, Stereotypes, traditional roles of men and women in the Hispanic culture,
stress and its relationship to language and communication, establishing trust
with Hispanic community, non-verbal conversation, emotional expression, derogatory
language, basic understanding and a working knowledge of learning to speak everyday
Spanish, basic and indispensable means of communication in Spanish. Course Level:
Introductory.
