Teacher Pre & After School Science - CDEC 1008 $35.00
CURRICULUM/ACTIVITIES FOR YOUNG CHILDREN
One day, 7 hr worshop approved for annual continuing education for current child care providers. Teachers in this class will discuss how children learn cognitive concepts and develop thinking and reasoning through exploration and manipulation of materials. Concepts will include scientific method, classification, cause and effect, comparison, energy and spatial relationships. Participants will plan science activities based on the interests and ages of their children .They will also try out new activities and make materials for their classroom.

SPECIAL TOPICS IN FAMILY LIFE & RELATIONS STUDIES
One day 7-hr workshop approved for annual continuing education for current child care providers. We will explore ways that families of diverse cultures do the routine things of life such as eating, sleeping, and caring for children. It will also consider how early childhood providers and programs can best serve diverse families.
