Al buen entendedor pocas palabras To the understanding person, only a few words. A word to the wise is sufficient.
Cuatro ojos ven más que dos. Four eyes see more than two.   Two heads are better than one.
De la mano a la boca se pierde la sopa From the hand to the mouth the soup is lost. There´s many a slip ´twixt the cup and lip.  (Don´t count your chickens before they hatch.)
De tal palo, tal astilla From such a stick, such a splinter.  Like father, like son. (A chip off the old block)
Del dicho al hecho hay gran trecho. There is a great distance from saying and doing. It's easier said than done.(Deeds, not words.) 
Dime con quién andas he y te diré quién eres. Tell me with whom you go, and I´ll tell you who you are. One is judged by the company he keeps  or Birds of  a feather flock together.)
El mandar no quiere par. Authority doesn´t want to be shared Too may cooks spoil the broth.
Más vale pájaro en mano que cien volando A bird in the hand is worth a hundred birds flying. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.
Más vale tarde que nunca. Better late than never.  
No es oro todo lo que reluce. All that glitters is not gold.  
No hay mal que cien años dure. There is no illness that lasts a hundred years. Time heals all wounds.
No hay rosa sin espinas There is no rose without thorns.  
No es ganó Zamora en una hora. Zamora wasn´t conquered in an hour. Rome wasn´t built in a day.
Ojos que no ven,corazón que no siente (If) the eyes do not see, the heart does not feel. Out of sight, out of mind.
Perro que ladra no muerde. A barking dog does not bite.  
Piedra movediza no creía no moho. A rolling stone grows no moss. A rolling stone gathers no moss.
Querer es poder. To want is to be able. Where there´s a will, there´s a way.
Saber es poder To know is to be able. Knowledge is power
Sobre gustos no hay disputa There is no arguing over tastes. Everyone to his own taste.
Ver es creer To see is to believe Seeing is believing.
Al que le venga el saco que se ponga If the shoe fits wear it.  
Casadas detrás de la iglesia. Living together without marriage.  
Eentra la espada y la pared  Between the sword and the wall. Between a rock and a hard place. 
Al pan, pan y al vino, vino. Call a spade a spade  
Estiró la  pata  o pasó a meyor vida kicked the bucket....died. Passed to a better life.  
La mentira tiene las piernas cortas. Oh what a tangled web we weave.  
Aunque la mona se vista de seda, mona se queda. Monkey see, monkey do.  Or, you can’t make a silk purse from a sow’s ear.
