Since 1966 the DCCCD has grown from a single college operation
to seven independently accredited colleges. The name has been
changed from Dallas County Junior Colleges to Dallas County Community

Technology fee case overturned
A suit first filed in 1998 to recover technology fees, was overturned

Campus police do their part in close
by armed stand-off
The campus road leading to La Prada was blocked off, the jogging
trail cleared, and a baseball game canceled Feb. 7 due to a police
stand-off with an armed man at the Eastfield Village Apartments.

Funding
Million-dollar science grant for Eastfield
In the next five years, over $1.8 million will be awarded to
Eastfield College from the National Science Foundation (NSF)
in an effort to give upcoming science students and the faculty
