Panorama: Revisions of Landscape

curated by Mark Todd and Esther Pearl Watson

Panorama is a collective look at the imaginary stories created through landscape. Artists with backgrounds in comics, children’s books, illustration and fine art share a range of visionary worlds from video game nirvanas to dystopia lands. From this specific collection we can step away from the traditional route of capturing an accurate likeness of a specific time and place and instead explore the landscape of poetic visions. Panorama are the views of a childhood Shangri-La, the vibrant colors of Elysian Fields, and the ghostly mist that surrounds a Never-Never Land. Through paintings, drawings and prints, these 15 artists take us into a world of their own, inviting the viewer to explore along.

Artists include

Rob Clayton, Sally Deng, Esther Pearl Watson, Seonna Hong, David Jien, Mark Todd, Paige Jiyoung Moon, Kim Cadmus Owens, Sean Qualls, Souther Salazar, Brooks Salzwedel, Ana Serrano, Rachell Sumpter, Gina Triplett, Karla Wozniak.
