Coach Henry has had the privilege of serving as a professor of physical education at Eastfield College since 1972. Prior to Eastfield Coach Henry held positions teaching in the public school system, and at Tarrent County Junior College.
Coach Henry grew up in Northern Wisconsin and graduated from Menomonie High School in Menomonie, Wisconsin.
Coach Henry attended Southern Methodist University on a athletic scholarship (football), and received a B.A. in physical education and health. He received his M S from the University of Illinois and obtained a additional 60 hours of post graduate studies from the University of North Texas, Texas A&M University and Texas Tech University.
Coach's major interest of studies have been in exercise physiology, outdoor education, and recreation.
Coach Henry has presented numerous clinics and classes to various groups (boy scouts, girl scouts and church group) on outdoor recreation activities such as canoeing, kayaking, backpacking and rock climbing.
As a public speaker he has presented lectures and talks on physical fitness and wellness. He co-authored the textbook "A Concept of Physical Activity".
In his leisure time Coach Henry enjoys participating in numerous outdoor activities which include skiing, whitewater kayaking and canoeing, hiking, rock climbing, and camping in the wonderful outdoors along with his wife and his dog.
