A student enrolling in the Criminal Justice program should meet the
Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education Requirements
for minimum standards if you plan to seek employment in the law enforcement
field. Licensing: (a) not currently on probation for any criminal offense;
(b) not convicted of a Class B misdemeanor in the last six (6) months,
or a Class A misdemeanor in the last twelve (12) months, or DWI or DWD
in the last two (2) years; (c) never been convicted of a felony.
NOTE: Students enrolling in this program who plan to transfer
to a four-year institution should consult an advisor or counselor regarding
transfer requirements and the transferability of these courses to the
four-year institution of their choice.
