Nancy H. Beaver, M.Ed. holds a Masters degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of North Texas. Her undergraduate degree is in Education with a double major in English and Spanish. Ms. Beaver has taught Child Development/Early Childhood Education college courses for the past nineteen years. She currently serves as Program Administrator for the Child Development/Teacher Preparation department at Eastfield College. In 2005, Ms. Beaver was recognized as Trainer of the Year in the state of Texas by the Texas Association for the Education of Young Children. She won the Pat Kennedy Teacher Educator of the Year Award from the Dallas Association for the Education of Young Children in 2006. She currently serves on the board of the American Associate Degree Early Childhood Educators. Ms. Beaver is currently featured in the training video about NAEYC's new Developmentally Appropriate Practice position statement on the NAEYC website.
