Payment Information
Fall 2008 processing is underway!
For students that have a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for 2007-2008 on file with DCCCD, have submitted all requested documents *noted on eConnect, and not on financial aid suspension; you will be protected from being dropped from classes through July 30, 2008. You will be notified of eligibility by email.
For students that do not meet this deadline, you are required to pay for tuition, books and supplies up front or utilize the pay plan in the cashier’s office. Failure to make arrangements by your due date, will result in the dropping of your courses If no award is posted to your account by July 18, 2008, please contact the office to inquire about your status and eligibility.
It is the student’s responsibility to ensure any financial aid documents requested have been submitted to our office in a timely manner, subject to the dates outlined; to determine eligibility of aid. The financial aid office cannot guarantee eligibility of aid and can only determine eligibility through the submission of the FAFSA application and any supporting documents.
*Important Timeline of Financial Aid Payments and Disbursements:
- Financial Aid transmittals to pay for tuition will begin approximately on August 15, 2008
- 1st disbursement for books and supplies will begin August 19, 2008.
- 2nd disbursement processing begins September 15, 2008 , after Financial aid lock out date (4th class day), and attendance certification processes have been complete; to include Stafford loan funds, as well)
Students that have not been certified as attending each class will not be given Financial Aid credit. Refer to your class syllabi for instructions. For students that plan to take flex, weekend or telecollege courses, you must be enrolled in the class prior to September 9, 2008 for your Financial Aid to cover tuition, if you are eligible.
This school year, you will have only two options in receiving your disbursements:
- You may apply for your very own Chase E-funds card. Giving you fast, safe, and convenient access to your funds.
- You may have your funds directly deposited into your personal checking or savings account. Log on www.econnect.dcccd.edu and select “Send My Money” to apply.
