Chaplain Douglas Sewell served on active duty enlisted with the United States Air Force for 6 1/2 years, during which time he was stationed at Malmstrom AFB, Great Falls, MT. He was also with the 25th Infantry Division in Honolulu, HI. He is a retired Army Reserve Chaplain with 22 years. After retiring he served as chaplain with the Texas State Guard, where he was the Army Component Command Chaplain for the State Guard. While in the military, Doug earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Wayland Baptist University. He went on to earn a Master of Divinity degree from Liberty Theological Seminary in Lynchburg, VA. In 1984, Doug accepted a pastoral position at a church in Sulphur Springs, TX. In an effort to support his family, Doug began working for a custom shutter company and learned the trade over the next several years. In 1989, Doug and his family moved back to Dallas and opened a retail shutter sales operation. After successfully building the company, Doug decided to pursue the world of manufacturing. Passing his retail company on to his children, Doug and his wife, Dora, opened Sewell Shutters with the goal of building the highest quality plantation shutters for the most affordable price.
Doug is a certified Victim/Crisis Chaplain.
He has been married to Dora Ann since 1978 and has three married daughters with seven grandchildren. Chaplain Sewell comes with a wealth of experience and he is proud to share his gift with EFC Police.
