Associate of Arts Degree with a Field of Study in Music is the standard music degree for most transfer-track music majors and is offered at all seven colleges of DCCCD. Field of Study degrees were created by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board to transfer as a block of credit to any Texas public college or university. Field of Study degrees comprise courses at freshman and sophomore levels that lead to a specific major in a four-year degree. This degree prepares students for music auditions and competency testing to transfer to four-year institutions beginning at junior year.
