Dr. Glynn Newman holds a Ph.D. in public policy and administration from Walden University, a master’s degree in public administration from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio and a bachelor’s degree in political science from St. Edward’s University in Austin. He has done additional graduate studies in political ecology from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, Virginia.
He joined Eastfield’s faculty in 1998, teaching Political Science and Government. His research interests include urban renewal, local politics, political parties and privatization. He has published six books, the latest being American Government and Public Policy Today 2017, and has written a number of articles on government reinvention.
