Pooya M. Koohbanani

Pooya Koohbanani earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the Technical University of Kerman. He then earned his master's degree in structural engineering from Southern Methodist University. He conducts welder and welding procedure qualification programs at Bill J. Priest Institute's accredited testing facility. He also teaches blueprint reading for welders, computer-aided drafting and occupational math.

Koohbanani is a licensed professional engineer (PE) in Texas and Oklahoma and a certified welding inspector (CWI) with the American Welding Society. He is also certified as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professional (AP) with the U.S. Green Building Council. He served as a board member of the Northeast Texas Chapter of the American Concrete Institute in 2005 and 2006.
