Developing Skills for Success

Courses emphasize hands-on skills to back up theory, with plenty of time in Eastfield College’s state-of-the-art technical labs.

The program also provides student volunteers for work projects for the nonprofit organization 1house at a time, a program that helps low-income homeowners reduce utility costs by providing free installation of solar photovoltaic systems and renewable energy technologies. The program, under the more comprehensive umbrella of A Nurtured World, is committed to social service in a way that reduces recipients’ environmental footprint while allowing them to save money and improve their quality of life. Volunteer labor and in-kind donations support the organization’s work events.
