Adjunct Faculty, Social Work

Jeff Quan has served as an adjunct faculty member in Eastfield’s Social Work program since 2008. He worked full time as a licensed professional counselor for the Timberlawn Mental Health System trauma program for psychological trauma and extensive comorbidity, also serving as PRN (as-needed) consultant for seven years. He also served as a licensed professional counselor working part time for a large area church for three years. 

He holds a master’s degree in counseling and a bachelor’s degree in professional development from Amberton University in Garland and is a doctoral student at Texas A&M University-Commerce. He has presented community workshops and given conference presentations in diverse settings for community colleges, universities and medical centers. Awards include receiving an Excellence Award from the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) in 2014; the John and Suanne Roueche Excellence Award from the League for Innovation in the Community College in 2014; Innovation of the Year from DCCCD in 2014; and Innovation of the Year from Eastfield College in 2013. 

He holds certifications as a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor (LPC-S), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) intern; Certified Trauma Model Therapist (CTMT); Certified Anger Resolution Therapist (CART): and Certified Aggression Management Train-the-Trainer (CAMT).
