Loraine Gargiulo, B.S., CTRS

Adjunct Faculty, Social Work

Adjunct faculty member Loraine Gargiulo teaches Activity Director I and II courses in the Social Work program. She holds a bachelor’s degree in parks and recreation with a therapeutic emphasis from Pennsylvania State University. She began teaching courses at Eastfield in 2006 and developed the online component for each course.

With more than 30 years of experience in therapeutic recreation and activities with geriatric clients, she is currently a manager at Baylor University Medical Center’s Institute for Rehabilitation, where she specializes in aquatic therapy. She is a member of the American Therapeutic Recreation Association and holds credentials as a certified therapeutic recreation specialist (CTRS).
