This tutorial is for individuals who want to use the Microsoft Authenticator app and have completed the MFA process.
This tutorial will show you how to set up the Authenticator app on your mobile device by using "Notify me through app" and "Use a verification code from app."
Register your device.
Type in Myapps.dcccd.edu.
Enter your user username and password and click "Sign In."
Click on your picture, select profile and click on the additional security verification link.
Click on the drop-down arrow and select "Notify me through app."
Check the authenticator box and select the configure button.
Briefly pause the tutorial to complete steps 1-5 on your device.
Please wait for the "Checking Activation Status" to update before you select the save button.
Click the save button to begin the verification process.
On your device, you'll be prompted to select "Deny" or "Approve."
Select "Approve" to complete the verification.
Click the close button. This will complete the "Notify me through app" process.
This section will show you how to "Use the verification code" from the Microsoft Authenticator app.
Go to the My Apps page.
Click on your picture and select profile.
Click on the additional security verification link.
Click on the drop-down arrow and select "Use verification code from app" and click on the save button.
Click the "Verify preferred option" button.
On your device, open the authenticator app.
Enter the verification code displayed on your app and click "Verify" when you are done.
Click the close button. This will complete the "Use verification code from app" process.
To use workplace for school resources such as e-mail, files and apps from your device, you might need to register it with your organization.
How to register your device:
Enter your e-mail address and password and click "Log In."
Your device has been registered.
