Guided Pathways to Success Whats the Big Picture

During this workshop, members of the DCCCD Guided Pathways Team will provide an update on:

  • Planning and implementation of Guided Pathways (including the selection of career paths),
  • Alignment of programs of study with career paths,
  • University transfer requirements,
  • Development of program maps and course sequences,
  • Redesign of academic advising to include career planning and pathways advising, and
  • Identification of milestones.

At the conclusion of the workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the rationale for and purpose of Guided Pathways based on research and best practice,
  • Identify the critical elements of Guided Pathways that are being planned by the DCCCD Guided Pathways Team in collaboration with college representatives, and
  • Discuss implications of Guided Pathways for their role or position within the college or district location.
