Vice President of Student Services and Enrollment Management
El Centro College
Dr. Crawford is a college administrator, instructor, trainer, and leader. For over 30 years, Dr. Crawford has served as a student services professional, college instructor and consultant. After a national search, Dr. Crawford joined the El Centro College leadership team as the Vice President of Student Services and Enrollment Management. El Centro College is part of the Dallas County Community College District.
Dr. Crawford has also authored a study of California’s Chief Executive Officers and conducted research on the development of four-year degree programs at community colleges, which was the topic of her doctoral dissertation.
She served on numerous local, regional and national committees and association boards for student advocacy. Dr. Crawford received numerous professional awards and is recognized as a leader within the higher education community. Crawford has been included in the latest publication of Who’s Who in Black Las Vegas.
Her purpose in life is to live life to the fullest and to encourage others to do the same by being the best that they can be.
North Lake College
Dr. Sharon Manna started her career at North Lake College as a humble
adjunct instructor in 2000
and became a full-time faculty member in 2009. She also the co-coordinator for the Government department.
She currently teaching in all modalities:
Sharon taught at on of North Lake College satellite campuses and has a great deal of experience working with dual credit students.
"I have a Ph.D. in Political Science from the State Univeristy of New York (SUNY)--Buffalo...Go bulls! During my doctoral studies, I had opportunities to teach at a two-year college, a four-year college and a four-year research university, all of which provided vast experience in dealing with diverse student populations, which is the essence of community college teaching," said Dr. Manna.
Her institutional service at North Lake College has taken her in a variety of directions, from the Teaching and Learning Team to being a faculty champion for Guided Pathways for Success to the Chancellor's Faculty Fellows Mentoring Program. She finds advantages in her ability to say yes to opportunities. "...You'll learn more about your college, your colleagues and yourself," Sharon expressed.
