Did you know early voting for the Texas Primary began on Tuesday, Feb. 20 and continues until Friday, March 2?
It's true! And it's important that your voice is heard.
Voting in the primaries is like the Texas two-step; there is one foot on the right and another foot on the left.
In other words, during the primaries voters choose whether to vote in a Democratic primary or a Republican primary — you can only pick one. (Yes, it's different from the November elections.)
Once you have your Texas driver's license, identification card, military ID or
other form of ID, head to one of the several early voting locations from Feb. 20 – March 2.
Here is the good news: During early voting, you can vote
anywhere in the county in which you are registered to vote.
Dallas County voters have more 35 locations to choose from.
As you can see, during early voting you will have the choice to vote on one Saturday (Feb. 24 from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.) and one Sunday (Feb. 25 from 1 p.m. – 6 p.m.). Now you know what
form of ID you need, you know you can vote in either the Republican primary or Democratic primary, and you know the various
locations to vote.

all the candidates running for office in the primaries, and a list of the Dallas County
Democratic candidates and
That's a lot of names! But thanks to technology, we are happy to share a few helpful links that narrow in on where you are registered to vote and who exactly is on your ballot. Think of this as the voter VIP treatment.
Now you are officially ready to vote!
Don't wait until the last day, or election day, which is March 6. Get it done, get it over with and tell your family and friends to do the same. Snapchat that American pride.
