Explore Energy Efficiency Careers at Sustainable U Pop-Up Event

The efficiency sector is projected to grow by 7.8%, or 180,000 jobs, in 2019, the highest projected growth rate across the energy economy. DCCCD will introduce you to the industry through a pop-up panel event at Richland.

DCCCD and EarthX will host "Efficiency Is the Master Key to High Performance Buildings" on Thursday, Dec. 12, from 1-3 p.m. To attend the free event, all you need to do is register online.

The panel discussion will feature some of the leading energy efficiency experts in north Texas:

  • Paul Westbrook, president of RE:source Design and retired sustainable development manager of Texas Instruments
  • Norma Lehman, RID, LEED AP BD+C, WELL AP, principal of higher education and director of sustainability at Beck
  • Michael Brown, energy systems design engineer at HKS and host of the 3P Theory podcast for architecture, engineering and construction professionals who want to learn the latest green building strategies
  • Jake Steiner, co-founder and partner of Smart Energy 360, an integrated energy solutions company
  • Ryan Sheard, McKinstry, who will discuss the new Catalyst Net-Zero Energy building at Eastern Washington University
