Student Success and Wellness

The purpose of the Student Success & Wellness Division is to promote personal responsibility that respects the dignity and humanity of others while providing caring early intervention for students experiencing distress or engaging in harmful or disruptive behaviors. The division also promotes holistic student development through collaboration on diversity and inclusion initiatives, health services, personal counseling, and disability services. Department staff are also available to support students needing assistance with navigating college challenges.

Also, visit the office of the dean of Student Success & Wellness to report concerns about:
  • Students experiencing distress
  • Engaging in harmful or disruptive behaviors
  • Discuss concerns regarding the College’s Student Code of Conduct or to report Title IX violations


Within our department, we offer the services below:

  • Center for Equity, Inclusion, and Diversity
    • Promotes inclusive excellence across campus, eliminates barriers to student success and access, and works to develop a welcoming community that enriches learning and academic fulfillment. The center provides services ranging from campus resources, a food pantry, service learning, and civic engagement.

  • Counseling Services 
    • Provides free, licensed professional counseling services with a focus on positive mental health and wellbeing. They offer crisis intervention; brief, solution-focused counseling; and referrals to other agencies or services.

  • Disability Services Office 
    • Offers a variety for accommodations for students with disabilities including sign language interpretation, note-taking services, assistive technology, and large-print materials. Additionally, academic and career advising, testing arrangements, and referral services are available.

  • TRIO Student Support Services 
    • Provides academic and student support services for eligible participants, those who are first-generation college students, economically disadvantaged, or a student with a disability.

  • Health Center
    • Promotes health, wellness, preventative care, and safety. Services are available to currently enrolled students and include emergency and first aid treatment, a variety of non-prescription medicines, low-cost vaccinations, and TB skin tests. The Health Center also sponsors outside programs including community blood drives, chair-massages, HIV testing, and low-cost vaccination clinics.
